
Truth & Reconciliation Speaker Series

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission is asking Canadians to explore the past as a way of building a strong future for all people. To support Reconciliation in our community the Swift Current Branch Library will be live streaming the Reconciliation Speaker Series from 1:30pm – 3pm on March 3, 10, and 17. Space will be limited and Covid rules apply (Covid approved masks, hand sanitizing and social distancing). Be informed! Make a difference! Speakers will present their perspectives of what reconciliation means to them. The session will be live followed by a Q & A period.
Presenter- Zoey Roy
Zoey is a poet, community-based educator, artist and author. Her Cree-Denis-Metis roots and career as an artist give her a unique insight into working with Indigenous and Canadian youth in pursuit of reconciliation. She is passionate about enabling people to reach their potential by eliminating barriers.
